Privacy Policy

The short version. We ask for as little as possible, we never sell or share your information, and we do not track you around the internet. There are no advertising cookies and no analytics profiles on this site. What we collect when you buy a ticket. Your first name, last name, and email address. A phone number only if you choose to enter one. We create an order record with what you bought, the amount, and a ticket code for each ticket. That is all we need to get you through the door. What we never see. Your card number. Payments are processed by Stripe, and your card details go directly to them. We only receive a confirmation that payment succeeded. Guest lists and waitlists. If you sign up for a guest list we store the name you enter. If you join a waitlist we store your email, and your name if you provide one, so we can tell you when tickets are released. At the event. When your ticket is scanned we record the time of check-in. Nothing else. How we use it. To send you your tickets, to let you in at the door, and to contact you about the event you bought a ticket to, including things like a location announcement for an unannounced venue. We do not add you to a general mailing list without asking. Who we share it with. Nobody, with three functional exceptions: Stripe processes the payment, Resend delivers your ticket email, and Cloudflare hosts the site and stores the database. These companies act as service providers on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone else. External organizer events. Some events on this site are run by independent organizers. For those events, the organizer can see the attendee list for their own event, and payment is processed through their Stripe account. The organizer's contact details appear on the event page. Organizers cannot see attendees of any event other than their own. Cookies. We use a small number of strictly functional cookies: one that keeps organizers and door staff logged in, and one that remembers you unlocked a password-protected event. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use Google Analytics or any similar profiling tool. Page counts. We count how many times an event page loads, as a single number. That count is not connected to you, your device, or your IP address. Third-party content. Fonts are served from our own site, so no font provider sees your visit. Event pages with an address include a map, and the ticket and check-in pages load small code libraries from a content delivery network. As with any website, loading those files reveals your IP address to those providers. We do not send them any of your personal information. How long we keep it. Two years. After that, an automatic monthly cleanup permanently removes your name, email, and phone number from old orders, keeping only the anonymous sales totals we need for accounting. Old waitlist entries and guest lists are deleted outright. You can also ask us to delete your information at any time before then. Your choices. Email us and we will tell you exactly what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No account required and no hoops. Security. The site runs over encrypted connections. Passwords for organizers and staff are stored hashed, never in readable form. Ticket codes are cryptographically signed so they cannot be forged. Children. Our events are 21+ and this site is not directed at children. Changes. If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Contact. Questions, or want your data removed?
